The Wall Street Journal Online is reporting that Senator Amy Klobuchar (Minnesota) and the entire Democratic North Carolina Congressional delegation are preparing to endorse Obama. Reportedly, Senator Klobuchar will endorse on Monday, while the North Carolina delegation will endorse before the May 5th primary.
Since Super Tuesday, Obama has steadily clawed into Hillary Clinton's lead in Super Delegates. It looks like that lead just got smaller and is now about 20. Before Super Tuesday, HRC's lead in Super Delegates was between 85 and 90.
Expect the wave to continue as fund raising numbers for the quarter get released within the next couple days. These are going to be FEC reports so General Election only funds will be able to be segregated out easily. Expect Obama to have a huge advantage in fund raising for the quarter, as well as a huge cash-on-hand advantage.
There have been stories circulating that the Clinton campaign is having trouble paying their bills. The fund raising story and the story about the Clinton campaign stringing along their vendors is going to get major play in the lead up to the April 22 Pennsylvania Primary.
Expect Obama to keep up his momentum with Super Delegates once the campaign finance reports are released.
